Immediate death, they are stabbed on the spine so that they don’t feel much pain. But this is all a lie.

One day they may be swimming happily, they are with their families at home; the “safest” place to be. The next day there’s only a pool of blood, their bodies have been taken to another area where no one knows of. So what happens in between the transition of those two days?

A group of fishermen in large boats begin to tend a trap. A group of migrating dolphins begin to make their way to where they came from, but they are detained by a loud underwater sound that stress them out to the point that they swim back to shore. They are scared, and who wouldn’t when they depend on sound waves to navigate. Another group of people begin to chose which dolphins they want and they are taken. Where do they go? They are to be “trained” for marine parks. Yes, it’s called Sea World. What happens to the rest?

Nobody is allowed to go in and witness this attrocity, but “The Cove” (a documentary/movie) snuck in anyways. There are maybe hundreds of dolphins, all scared, wanting to head back home, to navigate those waters they call home. What they don’t understand is that they will NEVER see their “home” again because this night will be their last night.

Slowly each dolphin is killed. “Immediate death”? I doubt so. One by one is stabbed once and left to die.

I can see several of them trying to catch their last breath. A trail of blood seeps into the water as they swim frantically trying to relieve the pain. Each time they come up above the water, they sink further down. Their cries of pain only grow on me and I find myself tearing up. I want to go and make it okay, I want to stop this slaughter. Finally this dolphin takes its last breath and it sinks down to the ocean floor. It’s the last time I’ll see it.

A few hours later the once clean water is now a pool of bright red.

This horrible even goes on every September in Taiji Japan. Help stop this slaughter. Visit:
